The installation of the Atlona DVI Over CAT5 is quick and easy, simply attach Sender unit to your DVI source such as a Computer, attach the Receiver unit to your display, then connect 1 x Cat5 or Cat6 cable and you are done. The Atlona AT-HD30SR is designed to replace long runs of HDMI cable with CAT5E/6 cable( also called Ethernet, or LAN cable). (Atlona recommends using CAT6 cable for all extender products). The Atlona HDMI Extenders can handle HDMI 1.3 standard and high resolutions up to 1080p at up to 110ft and 1080i up to 200ft.
